«In 1998, PolyGram Records Philippines released, Very Special, a compilation
containing songs from four albums Regine Velasquez, one of the Philippines’
most popular singers, recorded for the label (formerly PolyCosmic Records)
between 1993 and 1997.
The making of Very Special was most likely prompted by Velasquez’s signing
with another label earlier in 1998, the US-based MJF Company. The four
albums from which selections were taken are Very Special are 1993’s Reason
Enough, 1994’s Listen Without Prejudice, 1995’s My Love Emotion and 1997’s
Retro. No songs are included from Velasquez’s 1996 Christmas album, Love
was Born on Christmas Day.»
